Down to the Wire

Don't forget, next week is the last Saturday of our regular season, and we'll finish up with our annual Chili Cook-off Contest. If you have a family favorite recipe, you can enter! Learn more and register online.
If you still have Market Money that you haven't used, please be sure to use it by next week. It doesn't carry over to next season, and can't be used at the winter market.
Speaking of the winter market, it begins on December 1! Winter market, like in past years, will run every other Saturday from December 1 to May 4. The December 1 market will run concurrently with Holiday Village from 12:00PM to 3:30PM. The biggest change this year is the venue -- starting on December 15 the market will move inside the township building in the upper level hallway between the front door and the library! Market hours will also be extended to 10:00AM to 1:00PM!

Vendor News

Here's what you can expect from our vendors that are coming to the market this week...

A'Dello Winery: Wines made locally in Montgomery County. Varieties include pinot noir, chambourcin, rosé, chardonel, sweet niagra, and fruit wines (blueberry, peach and apple).

Balanced Natural Skincare Apothecary: Handcrafted skincare products made with natural and organic ingredients then scented with essential oils for therapeutic benefits.

Butterfly Farm Pet Treats: Baked dog treats, chicken jerky, sweet potato treats, training bits, and pet products.

'feine Coffee: (say FEEN, like in caffeine) Located in Conshohocken this fun and inviting cafe has acquired the coffee roasting equipment from Sweet Tree Artisan Roasters, started by Ian and Melissa Kingsley. 'feine will be providing coffee for the market again this year including their popular nitro cold brew.

Firehouse Donuts: Homemade, artisanal donuts made fresh each day in Springfield, Delaware County.

Five Saints Distilling: Family, community, commitment and dedication to quality describe the lives of the Saints. They are inspired in their honor to distill premium quality spirits in small batches.

Heritage Flour Baking Co: This week they will be bringing spanakopita, cannoli, biscotti--a selection from their 6 flavors and regular amaretti, the buccellatini (the date bars), the pan d'Arancia, the polenta cake, the baking mixes -- we are still taking orders for Thanksgiving (mince pies, etc.)

Jack's Farm: Growing USDA Certified Organic non-GMO vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers.

The Juicery KOP: Assorted cold pressed juices, healthy baked goods, and snacks made from all natural ingredients and organically sourced when available.

Lavinia's Cookies: All-natural, locally sourced, freshly made cookies and biscotti. This week they will be featuring their pumpkin seed cookies and cranberry orange biscotti!

O'Donnell's Woodworking: Philadelphia woodworker Dina O'Donnell will be bringing her handmade chalk boards, ready made and custom size frames, mirrors, and more.

Peach Bottom Farm: Lancaster County farmer Jonas Miller features vegetables, eggs, Amish baked goods, cheeses, yogurt, and herbs.

Quarryville Orchard: Stop by and see Aaron's beautiful fruits, jams, and more!

Robin Hill Organics: A small family farm located in Newtown Square who grow high-quality organic vegetables for the community. This week they will be bringing peppers, eggplant, lettuce heads, tomatoes, and more!

Spring Creek Farms: They will have your certified organic, 100% grass-fed dairy, and beef products. Their poultry is also certified organic and they are raised on pasture and rotated around the farm like the cows. Message from Greg & Forrest: After a rainy week, it looks like a nice fall day on Saturday for the market. We really have to keep the cows and chickens moving around with this wet weather so they don't create mud. Since Friday night we have recorded 4.6" of rain with another 1" forecasted for Friday. It's really hard to deal with that much rain this time of year when the vegetation has gone dormant, so it's not drawing moisture out of the ground anymore. Just one of countless challenges we face as farmers. We will be out of loose beef bones for a couple weeks.

Zah'r Spices: Their goal is to supply authentic and popular North African and Middle Eastern spices to their local communities and beyond. All of their spices are kosher certified, non-GMO, and gluten free. They want to bring the best spices to your kitchen table.
