Watch Out for Mold and Plant Problems

in Your Garden!

Experience tells us that when the sun finally comes out after an extended cold and wet period, mildew and other plant diseases will flourish.

In the greenhouses, we've been protecting the plants that we grow using preventative measures, and if you have garden plants, you should be doing the same thing.  The excessively cool spring followed by sunny weather is the perfect combination to make plant problems show up.

Safer Garden Fungicide and Serenade Disease Control are good organic choices for protecting your plants and preventing plant diseases.

Use them responsibly and follow the directions on the label.

Grower Pete says prevention is key, because once a plant pathogen is established, it is difficult to cure.

Ask our garden center staff for more information!
