Business Breakfast with Keiko Orrall
Tuesday, September 25, 2018
7:45 - 9:00 a.m.
Stoneforge Tavern, 90 Paramount Dr., Raynham

The Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce, will be holding a Business Breakfast with Representative Keiko Orrall.

Keiko Orrall, candidate for State Treasurer, is the first Asian-American woman to seek a constitutional office in Massachusetts.  Elected to the House of Representatives in 2011, Keiko is also the first Asian-American woman elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.  As a four-term lawmaker, Representative Orrall is a strong advocate for her district building bipartisan bridges and focusing on policy over politics.  She led an effort to stop Massachusetts’ participation in PARCC, a national testing consortium, which allowed Massachusetts to control its own educational policy and standards.  She was instrumental in helping to pass legislation to give small businesses certainty in tax filing deadlines by matching state and federal requirements.  Most recently she worked with a bipartisan group to stop an unnecessary regulation in the medical field that would have cost city and town taxpayers millions of dollars.  Working with senior citizen advocates and legislators across the aisle she helped block a measure that would have shut down one quarter of all nursing homes in the state through overregulation and disregard for the needs of the elder population.

The cost to attend this event is
$20 for Chamber Members and $30 for Non-Members.
Breakfast will be provided.

Scholarship Golf Tournament Sponsors:
Congrats to Chamber member Doug Glassman, owner of ServPro Marion/Middleboro, and Adam Bradshaw of member Poquoy Brook Golf Club:  "With his [Glassman] team all square after 17 holes against Justin Grolley (CCNB) and Adam Bradshaw (Poquoy Brook Golf Club), Glassman (CCNB) hit a good tee shot and followed with a smart approach that left him 35 feet away from the hole. He then two-putted, rolling in a clutch four-footer to give him and partner Glenn Dufault (a scratch player from Montaup Country Club) a hard-fought 1-up victory" at the Country Club of New Bedford recently.
