The Y is now OPEN on Sundays, 2:00pm-5:00pm
 Registration for the 2017-2018 school year is open. Stop by the membership desk to pick up the Parent  packet and registration form.  We will be at the  following schools:  Aquadale, Badin, Endy, Locust, Richfield and Stanfield.  Transportation to Y Pavilion will be available for Central, East Albemarle                                    and Millingport.

AFTERSCHOOL FACEBOOK- "Like" our Stanly County Family YMCA Afterschool page.  This is a great way to stay connected to all of the wonderful activities and fun our kids have while in our afterschool program.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION-  Transportation is provided from North Stanly Middle School to the Y by SCUSA.  Contact the Y to reserve your youth's place on the van. Riders will be billed monthly.

SITE DIRECTOR NEEDED-  We are looking for a YMCA after school site director for Aquadale Elementary.  Applicants must be over age 21.  Please contact Kelley Bigger for more information.

NEW POOL SCHEDULES AVAILABLE - The pool schedules for both the warm and cool water pools will be active through October 15th. Be sure to check at the Membership Desk for your copy. Remember to utilize the mobile app for up-to-date schedules. Please view the new swimming pool policies to ensure your safety. 

COMING IN OCTOBER- Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon swim lessons! More information will be announced soon.

AQUATIC GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES- We offer over 20 classes per week. Check out our schedule and join us for some water fun!

HIRING SWIM INSTRUCTORS- Looking for individuals interested in teaching others to swim.  Training will be provided.  Contact Cindy Drob if interested.

HIRING LIFEGUARDS- Contact Cindy Drob if interested in becoming a YMCA lifeguard.  Discounts available on certification with employment agreement.

Did you know the Y offers a competitive swim team for youth and teenagers? If your child is interested, inquire online or at the Membership Desk! 

SWIM TEAM 2017-2018 schedule is available.  

ASSISTANT SWIM TEAM COACH-  We are accepting applications for an assistant swim team coach, preferably with collegiate swimming experience. Please contact Swim Team Director, Hannah Hawkins, for more information. Applications are available at the membership desk or online.


MINNIE'S PLACE AND HIGH 5 -  When children come to Minnie's Place and High 5, they must be healthy, fever free and well enough to fully participate. Please do not bring your child to us if he/she has had one or more of the following in the last 24 hours:
  • A temperature of 100 (or higher)
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Anything contagious (Chicken Pox, Hand Foot & Mouth Disease, Whopping Cough, Pink Eye, etc)
Staff will call or page parent immediately to pick a child up if he/she becomes ill when in our care.  Staff cannot administer medication to a child.

SUNDAY RESERVATIONS FOR CHILDCARE-  Minnie's Place and High 5 will be open on Sundays from 2:30pm-3:30pm.  Reservations must be made by 3:00pm on Saturday.  Also, remember for Monday morning, reservations must be made by Sunday at 4:00pm.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE Y - Looking for somewhere to host a birthday party for your child? The Y currently offers six options for birthday parties. Dates in January are booking up. Check out our party options and contact Kelley Bigger to book yours!

PERSONAL TRAINING- Get stronger with us and raise your personal fitness to a new level.  We have certified trainers to help you meet your fitness goals.  Personal training is only $30 per hour session.  Purchase 5 sessions and get one FREE!  Appointments are available.  Contact Derrick Almond for additional information.

FITNESS DEPARTMENT MESSAGES .....Stay on top of group exercise schedule changes and closures.  Text @ymcafi to 704-781-1231 to receive text notifications about class changes.

TOWEL SERVICE- As a service to you, we have towels available for adult members to use for pool and showers.  We ask that each adult use no more than 2 towels per visit.  This allows us to accommodate the large amount of members that are in our facility daily. 

2017 PROGRAM GUIDE is now available!  

GUEST PASSES- Each Adult member will receive one guest pass per month. Each guest must complete a guest waiver, provide picture ID and accompany the member at all times.  Teens, ages 16 and older, may also receive one guest pass per month for guests ages 16 and older, with proper ID.  Guests may only come 3 times in one year as a guest.

ADULT LOCKER ROOMS - The downstairs Adult locker rooms are available for Adults, age 18 and older. Children and teens under 18 years of age are not allowed in this area.  There are two other sets of locker rooms in the facility that will accommodate members under the age of 18.  Stop by the membership desk, or ask a Y staff, if you have any questions on where to go.

2nd Grade Learn to Swim -This program provides a 10 day Learn to Swim program to all Stanly County Schools second graders.  Through this program, the Y hopes to reduce the risk of drowning in children across Stanly County.

T-BALLThe first T-Ball games will be on Saturday, September 16th at 9:00am.
