Being a parent is one of  the most rewarding and meaningful experiences of our lives, and at the same time it can be the most demanding one as well. We sometimes sacrifice our own needs, even our health, along the way, leading to physical and emotional exhaustion. This may include lack of motivation, feeling burnt out, anxious and even depressed.

Unless you take the time to nurture yourself, there will be little left to give to your loved ones. Your children will pick up on your stress, and may suffer the consequences. Taking care of yourself is the best gift you can give to your children.

As a parent you have a direct impact on how your child’s brain is wired, and consequently how he/she perceives and responds to his/her circumstances
