BEING INTERCONNECTED
with Sister Dianne Bergant, CSA

In this second of a series linking Laudato Si by Pope Francis with biblical texts, Sr. Diane explains integral ecology (from Laudato Si) and Interconnectedness as seen in the Bible, especially Genesis 2 Creation narrative. She shows how we are interconnected physically, emotionally, and ecologically.

Physically, we can live off other’s blood and body parts. We eat animals and plants and they become part of us. The earth give us heat, cold, air to help us live.  Emotionally, people have pets who are like extended family to them. They leave money to dogs.

Sr. Diane tells the Genesis 2 creation story, as well creation stories of other cultures, revealing the similarities as well as differences. She goes into greater detail of the Genesis story, the basis of our faith.

Ecologically, we are connected to nature and are moved by the sky, stars, moon and sun. One scientist explains we are “Made from Stardust”.

Since you’re here …
… we’ve got a small favor to ask. More people are logging on to our daily Apps (in English and Spanish) than ever, but far fewer are supporting them by a small donation.  So you can see why we need to ask for your help.  Wordnet's independent sharing of God's Word takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce despite the fact that all presenters do it gratis. But we do it because we believe communicating the Word of God matters – because it might well be your belief  too.
If everyone who watches these daily meditations will help to support it for as little as one $ a day these messages will continue to a world hungry for the word of God.
