  • This year's goal is to raise $825,000 to meet the needs of 4,500 children with free clothing, toys, books, infant equipment, and school supplies. 
  • Foster Care Support is completely community supported and receives no government funding.

Why we need your help: 2018 Georgia Statistics
  • A record high number of 15,000 children are placed in foster care in Georgia, a 60% increase from 2015.
  • 100,000 relatives and grandparents are raising over 288,000 displaced children in Georgia to keep them with family and out of the foster care system. The majority of these families have taken the children when abandoned by their biological parents.
  • Many relatives are senior citizens raising grandchildren with no financial support.

2018 Foster Care Support Foundation Facts
  • Over 57,000 children have been served by Foster Care Support since 2000.
  • Foster Care Support will serve up to 4,500 children in 2018.
  • 75% of the children served are being raised by grandparents or other relatives
  • 1/3 of children served live outside the metro Atlanta area and receive items mailed at Foster Care Support's expense.
    • Over 11,000 volunteers gave 34,000+ hours of time this year to accomplish the mission.
