HITS COACHELLA LIFE

The softness in the desert today here at HITS COACHELLA is mesmerizing and tranquil this morning!

The first 6 weeks (of 8) have flown past as a scurry of competition and renewed friendships took over our days. Seems like one day we get here with wild expectations and dreams and then it seems too soon we begin the process of deciding when we pack up and move on along to the next adventure for us.

The HITS Desert Circuit is a god send for soooo many people. It falls during a time when the weather at various parts of the North American continent is never consistent and can indeed be just plain violent and unrelenting. I'll share some insights and thoughts about our world, some of it not just here at HITS, however that management certainly deserves a thank you for every year sending us along our way and at the beginning of the year with this terrific circuit and then being a big part of a couple of shows wrapping up our travels in the late fall.

IT'S A GREAT CIRCUIT AND WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE IT, THE DESERT THIS TIME OF YEAR IS FABULOUS!!!!

OUR GROOMS
THE REAL SERVANTS OF OUR SPORT!!!!

As I drove into the show grounds today the very specialness of our grooms caught my minds eye. "WE" left as soon as "we" could yesterday after the big wind came up...but "we" left behind - IN THAT WIND - the grooms to continue their day, feed horses, put clients tack away CLEAN, and be sure the place was clean to start week 7. For them, their day had several more hours!

However, when I drove in EARLY this morning there were dozens of grooms HAND WALKING your horses all over the grounds. They had to have started their day very early...and MOST of us don't even notice. That is the sad part of their job...clients and owners may take for granted the fact their horses are so well taken care of and these guys work 7 days a week to be sure YOU have a great time in the ring.

I share a house here on the circuit with some amazing lady grooms or barn  managers ....they wake up WAY before dawn to leave to start their day between 4:30 and 5:00 AM, off to the show grounds by 5:30. They arrive back at our house no earlier than 7-8 PM and then still have orders of go to establish and how they plan to arrange their morning so YOUR horse is ready for you to show.

KEEPING ALL THAT IN MIND, TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO REFLECT AND UNDERSTAND WHAT IT TAKES TO GET YOU AND YOUR HORSE TO THE RING....
AND THEN TIP THE ONES WHO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HORSES
BIG TIME,
OR at the very least bring them a coffee or latte or their favorite morning drink
THEY DESERVE IT!!!!!

CLOUDS AND THE SKIES
OF THE DESERT

Cloud formations out here every year are intriguing and fascinating. This year, with the moisture in the air and the interesting turbulent weather over on the Pacific Coast, the clouds have been exceptional and beautiful. Here are just a few pictures to enjoy.

THAT IS A WRAP OF THIS LITTLE PIECE OF OPINION AND OBSERVATION  ...hope you take the time to consider it!! More of these opinion and observations coming in the future for ALL shows that I am at or involved with....be sure YOUR shows are on my list. Wait till you hear what I have to say!! Go to www.ijumpsports.com and browse, you might just find it interesting!!
