Looking Back on 175 Years of
Family Farming on Nantucket
Linda Humphries poses for the camera, circa 1989. September is upon us which means less crowds but our produce is still at its peak.
Did you miss it? Don't worry,
PYO is going strong
We have PYO tomatoes planned for this Saturday 9/8 and Saturday, 9/15! Please park at the market, DO NOT drive into the field. Farmer Andrew will be giving tractor rides out to the field.  The pick up spot is by the road across from the parking lot

Let's face it...
We all have high hopes and dreams of canning cases of fresh tomato sauce, pickled vegetables and vibrantly colored jams and jellies and being that neighbor who stops by proclaiming they simply have "too many" jars and must share them!

Reality steps in; work, kids, school lunches, dog, boiling hot glass jars in giant pots of water, etc. Turns out, you can just as easily freeze your way through a batch of tomato sauce and pickles that still taste like pickles straight from the fridge!

Check out these cheats to make the most of summer's bounty without zapping all of your time and precious energy. The neighbors will love you for it!
