Why Pledge?

Having pledges on the books empowers our ministry because it helps our congregation to budget responsibly, plan for the future, and supports all our ongoing missions. They lay a steady foundation for the perpetuity and growth of our worship services and programs serving you, our congregation, and many more individuals and families in our community and other parts of the world.
As you probably know, despite changes in our revenue streams including the end of our arrangement with BUCC and several families moving away, the congregation voted to pass a bold budget--one that didn’t shy away from any of our programs, faithful and confident that we would be able to close the gap this year.

We’re excited to share that we have received commitments and pledges in the amount of $43,573 since our initiative to "Close the Gap" in our budget began just two months ago. Now we are only $10,427 away from reaching our goal of $54,000. We intend to end this campaign by July 4th, and every single dollar, every pledge helps us get closer to our goal.

If you currently give to Advent, we are so grateful for your support. This a meaningful opportunity to increase your pledge as you are able. If you are not a pledger, would you consider formalizing your giving to help us close the rest of the gap and make it to $54,000?

Summer Suppers

Summer Suppers is our new intergenerational, bilingual summer program designed to provide worship, learning, and community to our diverse congregation and neighborhood in July and August.

We invite you, along with friends and family, to join us on six consecutive Wednesdays in July and August for dinner and worship with people of all ages, speaking both English and Spanish, followed by Bible study in groups ranging from small children to adults. Even if you can’t make all six Wednesdays, we welcome you to register for the evenings you are able to attend.

Summer Suppers begins on July 6, and registration is open! Program fees are minimal and scholarships are available, but all participants are asked to register so we know how to prepare.

Mission of the Month: Food Ministries

June's Mission of the Month donations directly support our Community Lunch and Food Pantry.

Every month, our Food Pantry provides a bag of fresh groceries to over 125 people, and our Community Lunch serves a delicious, warm meal to over 150 of our neighbors. These ministries are instrumental in supporting individuals and families in our neighborhood who struggle with food insecurity.  They have limited grant funding and rely on our support to sustain their ongoing ministry.
