A prominent anti-establishment activist says Leonard Lance deserves to be fired, as she announced an important group endorsement for congressional challenger Peter Jacob.

"Federal debt has more than doubled since Leonard Lance was elected to Congress, rising from $9.986 trillion to an expected $22.4 trillion," said Lisa McCormick, who announced that Democrats for Change is endorsing Peter Jacob.
"For those earning minimum wage, this election could make the difference between their pay plummeting, if Trump carries through on abolishing the federal floor of $7.25 per hour, or doubling -- if Hillary Clinton makes good on the Democratic Party platform promise, pushed through by the Sanders campaign, to raise the minimum to $15," said Lisa McCormick.

"Meanwhile, in our country the top one-tenth of one percent now owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent," said Lisa McCormick. "Fifty-eight percent of all new income is going to the top one percent. Wall Street and billionaires, through their 'super PACs,' are able to buy elections."
"The global economy is not working for the majority of people in our country and the world," said Lisa McCormick. "This economic model was developed by the economic elite to benefit the economic elite. We need real change and Leonard Lance is part of the problem. His wife is a Wall Street banker and he is part of a GOP majority in Congress that made life worse."

"Enormous public frustration with the skyrocketing prices of essential medicines in the US has not yet led to any meaningful reform in the Republican-controlled Congress," said Lisa McCormick.

"For many of us, working full time does not provide adequate resources to cover all essential needs, and even 25 percent of America's military families need help getting food," said Lisa McCormick. "Millions of families are making impossible trade offs every month between paying for food, rent, transportation or health care. America can and must do better."
"When the middle-income majority and high-income Americans want different policies, the affluent get what they want 53 percent of the time," said Lisa McCormick. "Simply stated, Leonard Lance and a majority in Congress are for sale to the highest bidder."
McCormick said the endorsement means Democrats for Change will email more than 9,000 residents of the central New Jersey district urging them not only to vote for Peter Jacob, but to join his campaign as a volunteer or donor.
McCormick said Democrats for Change members and veterans of the Bernie Sanders campaign will reach out to voters who have contributed money to seek their support for additional campaign activities.

"When hundreds or thousands of people make small donations, it adds up and the same is true for our volunteer force," McCormick said. "The political establishment may be ignoring this race but the people who live here know this is a chance to continue a political revolution."
