Hot Club of San Francisco "Cinema Vivant" (Saturday)
The Hot Club of San Francisco presents Cinema Vivant, an evening of vintage silent films accompanied by live gypsy swing, celebrating imagination and innovation. 7:30-9 p.m. in the Courtroom Theater at McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee. Reserved tickets are $35, adult; $30, seniors 65+; and children/students (ages 6-22), $25.

The Odysseus North Texas Chamber orchestra will present a family affair with a performance of Peter and the Wolf, the worlds most beloved children's piece by Sergei Prokofiev. The music will be accompanied by an interactive projection slideshow by local artist Annie Royer and narrator Steve Powell. Music from Pink Panther and Wicked will be performed as well. Come early and enjoy pre concert activities for the kids which includes face painting, balloons, kid conductors and an instrument petting zoo.
 
 
 
 
 
Spring Spree Donations

Ettiene Market is hosting an evening dedicated to our local community members in need. The Spring Spree pop up shop at Chestnut Square Historic Village allows qualified guests to shop for free, and with dignity, for all kitchen related items. Prior to the event, the community is being asked to donate new or gently used kitchen utensils and supplies. Drop them off at Ettiene Market, 115 W. Louisiana.
 
 
 
 
 
Making Marks: Expression Through Line and Layers, Lynne Hubner - Printmaker
(Friday-Saturday)
Local artist Lynne Hubner's work has been described as “visual haiku” due to her ability of capturing the essence of a scene and inviting the viewer to enter with their own dialogue. An independent artist, lecturer, educator and national workshop facilitator, Ms. Hubner specializes in relief printmaking in its many permutations. Friday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Sunday, 4-6 p.m. The Cove, 402 N. Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times are designed primarily for young children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered. Included in general admission and free for Heard Museum Members. 10:30 a.m.

Nature Photography Contest Submissions Begin (above, Saturday)
Have you taken any great nature photos lately? Participate in the Heard Nature Photography Contest, hosted by the Heard Nature Photography Club. For the second year, participants will be able to submit their photos electronically. Contest categories will provide opportunities for multiple skill levels! Through Feb. 26.
