How can it already be all-star time? While you get ready for what can be the most fun and memorable time in a youth player's career, try to set the stage for a positive experience: Manage parental expectations. Be sure coaches communicate their plans for playing time and lineups. Have plenty of board members who have no children on the teams observe practices and games so they can act as impartial arbiters to potential conflicts. Make it a fun and exciting process for everyone!
