ArtWalk Carlsbad:  September 22 & 23
11am-6pm Saturday
10am-5pm Sunday

We've been very enthusiastic about the vibrant arts and culture scene in San Diego's North County for a long time, and now the festival we've dreamed of makes its debut in Carlsbad this month.  This festival offers both the familiar and the new.  For the first time, we are showcasing more than 40 chalk artists creating masterpieces on asphalt, in addition to the more than 150 fine artists showing/selling their work.  Now North County residents can experience one of our high quality art events closer to home.  The venue is Armada Drive, just east of the Flower Fields.  Click for a map.

A full lineup of of local musical performers will fill the stage, and on Sunday afternoon, local musical icon
Steve Poltz returns to SoCal for a 3pm performance.

A wine and beer pavilion, food trucks, interactive art experiences for kids and adults, and more all add up to a wonderful day in San Diego's North County.

Your ticket to ArtWalk Carlsbad (just $10 for one day or $15 for a weekend pass) also provides free admission to the adjacent Museum of Making Music. If you haven't toured this amazing museum, you'll want to add this to your weekend of art of all kinds.

Presenting both early career and established artists, Being Here With You/ Estando aquí contigo highlights distinctive practices shaping conversations and communities in our binational region and beyond. Recognizing that San Diego and Tijuana’s artistic communities are distinct but overlapping, the exhibition builds on the ongoing artistic exchanges between the two cities.

Being Here With You/ Estando aquí contigo also acknowledges the crucial role that alternative art venues play in the region’s art scene, with nearly a quarter of the exhibition’s artists running or programming independent spaces in San Diego and Tijuana.
