Who's YOUR Farmer?
Carolina Soto is from Santiago, Chile and she and came to intern with us via CAEP (Communicating for Agriculture Exchange Program.)
When she found out about her placement she was so excited to work  at a farm with so much history, involving so many generations and one that’s on an island! She has a degree in Agronomy and she came here wanting to work with organics, vegetables and in a greenhouse. She has enjoyed many different tasks her but a favorite was harvesting pumpkins and gourds… she says gourds are like people: they are from the same family but they are all so different! Her dream is to continue schooling at UMass Amherst by studying Plant, Soil and Insect sciences. She says this internship wasn’t about the money, it was about finding out what you want to do, if you like doing it and if it makes you feel good.

We Have Pumpkins!
Orange pumpkins, warty pumpkins, white pumpkins, yellow pumpkins, pink pumpkins, small pumpkins, really small pumpkins,
big pumpkins, and really big pumpkins.
And they were all grown here at Bartlett's.
You can find them in the garden center!

And there are great farm-grown plants for your decks and fall containers.  The mums are just beautiful this year!
