Mission SOS Malawi is swinging into action. Over 500 confessions of faith on Sunday, we have 10 teams on the street daily. Cathy and I are working with SOS KIDS who will wash the feet and distribute shoes to over 300 children. We were blessed to bring 18 amazing TC leaders to Malawi from across Africa joining 180 missionaries from around the world to support Evangelist Johannes Amritzer and the Mission SOS Good News Festival in Lilongwe.

Malawians are part of the large Bantu population that migrated northward from South Africa at around the turn of the twentieth century. Malawi is not new to the gospel. Missionary and explorer David Livingstone reached Lake Malawi (then Lake Nyasa) in 1859 and identified the Shire Highlands an area suitable for European settlement. As the result of Livingstone's visit, several Anglican and Presbyterian missions were established in the area in the 1860s and 1870s,

Even though the festival has not yet begun, on Monday Mission SOS outreach teams held 12 outreach meetings ministering to 1,995 people on the street.
~908 people confessed faith in Jesus

~Hundreds were baptized in the Spirit and there were
~76 supernatural healings .
As the festival begins on Wednesday night, we ask you to pray for an explosion of miracles.

Johannes has been on radio and TV- the city blanketed with promotional materials and the festival will be televised nationally on Malawi's largest broadcast Network to the over19 million Malawi residents.

REACHING the LOST
  Sunday, we traveled from Lilongwe to Kasuli through Pasula into an area they call section 22. There is not a serious drug problem. Poverty makes it impossible to afford drugs. Unfortunately the community is dominated by drunkenness from a local brew called Kachasu. It is a brewed from grain and formaldehyde.  It is dangerous, often toxic and extremely addictive. Brewed in the slums it is available very cheaply, yet the toll in human life and opportunity is a very expensive cheap. Over 60 came to altar to confess faith in Jesus. Believe with us for Miracles at Destiny Change Church.

MONDAY NIGHT: 18, June--As they wind up a long day of ministry with prayer, the TC Team heads to their MISSION TENTS for a few hours sleep. We are back to the battle at 5:30 AM-Great team, great men of God. They are tireless workers, bulletproof, contagious freedom fighters. Tonight temperatures are going down to 5 degrees, but they will be ON fire tomorrow-four more from TC Malawi will join us from Msuzu.
MALAWI Land of Miracles
On the street, in the schools, in the orphanages we are seeing God move powerfully. We are so grateful for your prayers. Not only for SOS Kids, but for the entire festival teams. SOS AID-the medical missions and the continuing mission on the street.

E-VOTION
What GOD SEEKS

Bern

9  "For the eyes of the LORD move
to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose
heart is completely His."

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NASB)

King Asa  was facing an impossible circumstances. An overwhelming army was coming against them.
"Now Zarah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, 2 Chron 14:9.
As he cried out, Jehovah, intervened supernaturally. We do not know how God did it. How could a small band of Hebrews, out weaponed, outnumbered and out-manned prevail, the Bible just declares God routed Zerah and his army.

You may think the rest of the story is, "Blessed by God, they trusted him and lived happily ever after. NOT! In just a few years, conflict with the Baasha, King of Israel left him with a dilemma Facing a smaller army and a less daunting challenge he took what seemed to be the easy way. He emptied the treasuries of the house of God to pay Ben Hadad, King of Aram, an ungodly ruler, to protect him. It provided momentary relief, but God has to send His prophet to warn against trusting his own devices and not relying on the Lord.

He forgot how God delivered him from a huge invading army. He became careless and self-centered. In the end he dies of an affliction, turning to physicians refusing to turn to God. A habit of disobedience resulted in death in rebellion.

I meet so many people that say they are waiting on God. I fear that often, it is God who is waiting for us. He has shown himself mighty in salvation. For many of us He has shown himself mighty in deliverance and healing. Yet in the midst of the every day challenges of life and the every day “impossibles that we face” we turn to the world for our answers. We turn to self-help grusrather than divine impartation. We turn to entertainment and possessions for escape.

What if, when you are sick instead of saying home from church in pain waiting for a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, you just obeyed the word, went to the house of God and prayed in a miracle.

What if when you saw someone in need, instead of crossing the street, you stopped to let him know how much God loves him.

What if, when you really want something that you have no money for, instead of pulling out a credit card, you trusted God. I have learned, if I can’t get it with my faith I don’t need it.

God is truly seeking to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. It is not a matter of getting the formula right, being strong enough or being some sort of Super Saint. It is simply a matter of relationship. Is my heart fully His? .

WASHING THE FEET OF CHILDREN

SOS Kids is pioneering a new asset in the SOS Arsenal, targeting at risk children, bring the good news, and ministering to practical needs. What a blessing to see them receive Jesus and the delight on their face when we tell them everyone of them will get a new pair of shoes.
For many, it will be the first pair of shoes they have ever owned. Before our team gives them the shoes, they pray and wash their feet.

For a few moments, these children, once abandoned and alone, feel like they are special. In a culture where children are routine "handled roughly," Many have never felt a "tender touch." God is moving in a special way.

2017 was a year of miracles. You could not join us in the Syrian Refugee Camps, the South Sudanese camps, Rwanda, Madagascar (over 40,000 first-time confessions of Christ), hurricane relief or missions on 5 continents, BUT you were with us in prayer, partnership & giving.

When we face daunting challenges like our $24,000 AMEX bill with ground fees, transportation, and Africa flights for Cathy and I, and expenses for 15 leaders for the Mission SOS Malawi, we turn our hearts to heaven, knowing that God can provide as you pray with us, especially as we prepare to return to Rwanda with a team of almost 50 in July.
Our God is FAITHFUL!
Thank you for praying.
Thank you for giving.

PARTNER

PRAYER

FOCUS

Again I say
unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done
for them of
my Father which is in heaven.

1) Pray for MISSIONS SOS

Please pray for a continued anointing on the team of 180 Mission SOS missionaries from around the world as they preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the streets, markets, schools, orphanages and through medical ministry in Lilongwe, Malawi. God has opened amazing doors with the press, TV and radio. We are expecting thousands of commitments through the 5-day evening Good News Festival in addition to the nearly 1000 who have already made commitments on the outreaches over the last 2 and a half days.

Please pray for our 17 Teen Challenge leaders from across Africa and USA who are part of the Mission SOS outreach team.

2) MOZAMBIQUE -HEIDI BAKER

Extremist attacks in Mozambique- Influential mission leader, Heidi Baker, issued a prayer request related to a growing threat from Islamic extremists killing Christians and burning villages north of the ministry headquarters where she and her husband, Rolland, are based in northern Mozambique.

“Please join us in praying for peace in the province of Cabo Delgado, where we live,” she stated in a Face book post June 7th. “Recently a number of Christians have been killed here. Women have been raped and many homes have been burned.”

3) PRAYER EUROPE Teen Challenge

From Europe Teen Challenge
I have heard that Blerina Hysenaj, the wife of Gesi (TC Albania) has been very sick since before the ETC Conference. She has been admitted to the Hospital today with some serious infections.
Would you all pray for her and have the people in your programs pray for her? We have seen God answer prayers in a remarkable way in the past!

4) Pray FOCUS: GOOD NEW FESTIVAL LILONGWE - MISSION SOS

CLICK FOR SOS VIDEO

FOCUS your prayers as the MISSION SOS Good News Festival opens on Wednesday. We are praying for some specific breakthroughs and against the powers of darkness trying to hinder what God has called us to accomplish in Malawi.

Agree with us on these points, and please reply with anything the Lord speaks to your heart as we prepare to engage dark spiritual forces on the battlefield.

  • Pray for the sound system operation and final se t-p- especial for the children festival stage..
  • Pray for Evangelist Johannes Amritzer and all of the 180 missionaries who are part of this outreach.

TEAM PRAYER PRIORITIES/FESTIVAL PRAYER PRIORITIES

A spirit of unity within our diverse team of 180 missionaries from Europe, Africa and the US. Psalm 133:1 & Colossians 3:14

For Malawian pastors & churches who partner with SOS for the Lilongwe Festival. Ecclesiastes 4:9

An attitude of excellence in our ministry preparation. Daniel 6:3 & 2 Corinthians 8:7

For God to prepare & purify the festival grounds.
It is a place known for drinking, parties & drug use. Deuteronomy 11:24a

Financial breakthrough & 100% funding for each of our team members. Psalm 144:13

This is a moment to exercise your spiritual authority, engage in the spiritual warfare that is waging around the plans for this festival. We must pray for a Shock and Awe outpouring on the powers of darkness as we prepare to head to Malawi on June 14.

WE ARE REMINDING THE FORCES OF DARKNESS THAT:

  • • He that is in us, is greater than He that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
    • You Lord will cause the enemy, who has raised up against this festival in Lilongwe, to be defeated before us. He will come in against us one direction, but flee before us in seven directions, in the name of Jesus! Deuteronomy 28:7
    • What the enemy has meant for evil, Lord, you will turn around for good in Lilongwe; for the saving of many lives, as they receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Genesis 50: 20
    • That by our hand, Lord, the unreached people of Malawi will be delivered out of the hand of the enemy and wicked, unreasonable men. 2 Thessalonians 3:2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pray with us for the global advance of the gospel. Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 120 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in over 32 new nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT. We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet PRACTICAL needs.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples,
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send
out workers into His harvest.”
