Go Tell it on the Mountain
Sundays at 10 am // Jan 14—Feb 11

Who is God to you?

What is your image of God?

As Christ followers we should be in the business of bridging chasms.  It is important to develop friendships with “those who are lovely. With those who are unlovely.  With the successful and the struggling.  With the outgoing and the recluse.  With the accepted and the outcast.  With those who are just like us and with those who are far different.” How can you best share your image of God with others?  Join us on Sunday at 10 am in Room 301 as we discuss these questions and more.  Can’t make it this week?  Join us next week!

The church needs YOUR ideas!

Next week, we have the opportunity to gather together to share ideas about our church.  What are our greatest strengths?  What are our greatest needs? What ministries can we grow?  What should we change?
Sign up for a focus group session with Rev. Dave Martin, a consultant with United Methodist Ministries.  Our goal is to have 10—12 people participate in each group.  We need YOUR presence in these groups!
Sign up on Sunday in the Parlor or reply to this e-mail with your name and the meeting you’d like to attend.

Monday, January 22 or Wednesday, January 24
1:30, 6:30 or 8:00

Fabric Drive for Flat Rock!  Do you have fleece fabric just hanging around your house? Flat Rock Homes would love to take any fleece that you have off of your hands! They can use any size at least 1 foot by 1 foot square. Their Aktion Club & Adult Advantages folks make toys & blankets for the Huron County Humane Society with the fabric. Our Youth will be collecting fleece until their trip is rescheduled.  Bring your donations to the green bin in the Parlor!

We set a recycling record!  We just got our recycling totals for the month of November - and we blew past our previous record by recycling a whopping 10,780 pounds of paper.  That's astounding! This tops our previous record of 8,720 pounds back in December 2016.  Your recycling earned $166 for our hunger ministry in November alone.  THANK YOU!!!

Our Welcoming Statement
Brecksville United Methodist Church is called to the ministry of reconciliation. We embrace diversity as a gift. We celebrate our human family’s diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, faith history, economic status, marital status, physical and mental ability, and education. We affirm that all people are created in the image of God and as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and grace. We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of Brecksville United Methodist Church as we journey toward reconciliation through Christ.
