Soccer Shots

When Soccer Shots recently moved into new offices, staff tried out these awesome turf tiles where they coach two and three-year-olds, but they just weren't a good fit, so they donated 120 of the artificial green to Habitat ReStore. It created a lot of buzz both in the Portland ReStore and on social media where they said, "We love our community, there are so many helpers and givers out there! We hope someone has fun with these squares!"  Thank you, Soccer Shots!
Prospecting for goods

David Meyer spends most days mining for gold in Oregon, Washington and California. Eight months out of the year he's deep into it across his 80 acres of land and 2 1/2 miles of river, but every 45 days he resurfaces to pick up his mail --and treasure hunt the ReStore. The day we met David at the Portland ReStore, he was staking claim to a large area rug along with canvas fabric panels, helpful for sifting for the good stuff. David shops the  ReStores in Portland and Vancouver about 20 times a year.
The unusual is the usual at ReStore
Anne and Ian Burns outfitted their home overlooking the Columbia River Gorge with several amazing totem poles found in the ReStore in March. Of course, it's difficult to go wrong with the Gorge as a backdrop, but we feel Anne and Ian made a great choice: 1) shopping the ReStore; 2) supporting Habitat for Humanity! Thanks for sharing, Anne!

How do we do it?
One word: donations! Every sofa, dining table, chain saw, lawn chair, dish, bowl...totem pole helps Habitat build more homes. Donate at ReStore locations in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver, or for the big stuff schedule a pickup at
It's easy to donate! Drop off donations at one of our 4 stores, or for larger items, schedule a donation pickup at
CLOSED JULY 4: Habitat ReStores in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday!

Garden Shed

Take a look at what shopper Penny Stewart created from doors she found at the Beaverton ReStore! Penny has quite an eye for design...and value!  It really is amazing what you can do with doors as your palette. Plus take a look at that perfect chandelier. Nice touch!

Birdie bling
Hummingbirds are loving Dee Sampson's new feeder. She created it from a chandelier she purchased at the Vancouver Habitat Store. Dee painted it with several coats of glossy red Rustoleum, then attached the feeders to the chandelier with "S" hooks."I think any kind of hummingbird feeder would look great on this, even hung at different heights," Dee said. "Other chandeliers with little crystal pendants look great hanging in trees and on my porch. The crystals really catch the sunlight!" Find something to love at ReStores in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver.
