December 30, 2016
Dear Friends,
It has been my honor and privilege to work alongside Rev. Laura for the past year since I have become President.  In such contentious and divided times, Rev. Laura is the kind of colleague we all want--someone to help shine the light of love and relationship.  So, as we rest in the glow of Christmas and prepare to welcome the New Year and the season of Epiphany, let us make an extra effort to celebrate Rev. Laura Everett’s birthday!

Will you give $38 (or $380, or $3.80) to celebrate Laura’s 38th birthday?
Click here to donate now online for our one-day, online-only Birthday Fundraiser!

In the just over five years that Laura has served as our director, we’ve seen an increase in support from individuals, local congregations, and denominations.  This year the Massachusetts Council of Churches has continued our work training clergy to address the Commonwealth’s opioid addiction crisis.  We  visited one another on ecumenical pilgrimages.  We hosted Duke Divinity School’s Leadership Education program in the Northeast, to train and equip emerging Christian leaders to transform and sustain Christian institutions--with a large and diverse cohort of folks from Massachusetts!  We've restructured our board, expanding our leadership to look more like the broader church, and are working to articulate a more robust vision of Christian unity.

As the year ends, consider giving $38 to celebrate Laura’s 38th birthday.

Your year-end contribution is fully tax-deductible and goes to support the amplifying, reconciling ministry of the Massachusetts Council of Churches.  We hope you’ll join us in wishing Laura a happy 38th birthday!
In the peace of Christ,

P.S.: We're still seeking 153 new monthly donors to sustain our ministry at a level that is affordable to them--would you consider becoming a monthly donor?
