The best corn of the season always comes in August.
Time to stock pile that beautiful farm corn before next season. Here are some tips to preserve the harvest.

How to freeze corn?
Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
Drop in 3-4 cobs (husks removed) and boil for about 1 minute.
Remove from the boiling water and plunge into ice water
Cut the kernels off the cob and scoop them into a freezer bag.

Remember we have corn gadgets like holders and strippers,
plus, they are 25 % off!

And speaking of getting your Canning on...

Park at the market, and we will take everyone out to the field in a haywagon.
Bring cash - no credit cards in the field! $1.50 per pound - plan ahead!
The tomato fields are a lot closer this year and the time between trips will be much shorter!
There is NO parking in the field or on Bartlett Farm Rd, or on Smooth Hummocks.

Maplebrook Farm Cheeses are made daily by skilled old-world cheese artisans. They make their own curd from the milk of cows that are rBGH free and that graze in the green mountains of Vermont. Their cheeses are pasteurized, gluten free and made in small batches using all natural ingredients with no preservatives.

Maplebrook cheese is a 100% Vermont product. When you buy Maplebrook, you are directly helping to support small dairy farms of Vermont.

When it comes to sourcing farm grown heirloom tomatoes for caprese or fresh Burrata with herbs and crusty bread, only the top quality ingredients will do! Bartlett’s has been a long time supporter of their delicious, fresh mozzarella, burrata and hand dipped ricotta.

Marcona Almonds. So much more than a snack!

Marcona Almond Butter- Blend Almonds smooth to spread on baguettes, serve with cheese or toast with banana

Candied Marconas-Melt butter, sugar, corn syrup and a pinch of cayenne until bubbling. Stir in Almonds and spread onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool and break into pieces. Toss a handful into your favorite salad mix!

Marconas add crunch!  Mj, our farmstand manager, LOVES a little handful chopped up and swirled into her farm made gazpacho for a salty, crunchy kick.

Great substitute in baking recipes- three words; Marcona. Almond. Blondies. Recipe here

To sweeten the deal, these almonds are 25 % off now through labor day!

Rosé Season is just getting started!

Don’t believe the hype that Rosé is just for hot weather.

The pink stuff pairs perfectly well into the fall.

(Rosé pairs especially well with Turkey in November.

Stash a few bottles of your favorites now before they sell out).

Don't believe us? Read on...

For now though, think late summer BBQs, golden Sunsets and cool nights, gorgeous seasonal salads, artisan cheeses and charcuterie.

We still have 9 different delicious Rosés to try!

Here are three of our favorites...

Coteaux du Vendomois Cocagne Rosé

Loire Valley, France

Sustainable Farming

Made from 100% Pineau d'Aunis (an indigenous grape that originated in the Loire in the 11th century). With attractive acidity, red-berry fruits and a gentle texture, the wine is ripe while keeping a crisp structure and a peppery, mineral finish on the palate.  Such a lovely wine for 11 bucks…

Bedell Cellars “Taste” Rosé

North Fork, Long Island

Sustainably grown estate fruit

Thomas Matthews of Wine Spectator said “This rosé delivers berry, cherry and herbal flavors in a rich texture, with grip and cut, and enough structure to match with food.”

I say, cabernet franc Rosé from Long Island is about as delicious as it gets. This is a MUST TRY.

Oh, and BARBARA KRUGER DID THE LABEL. So cool!

By.Ott Provence Rosé

Provence France

Organic Practices and Farming

Domaines Ott has been pioneering prestige Rosé wines since 1912. Founded in 1896 by Marcel Ott, the wine estates of Domaines Ott were acquired by Louis Roederer in 2004.

Lively, mineral-tinged red berry and citrus pith scents and flavors. Concentrated yet light in character.  Mineral notes, crisp acidity and a long, focused finish just begs for another mouth watering sip! This is an impressive wine made with care and attention.
