Passing the Word: A Conference Toward the Future
of Lutheran-Jewish and Inter-Religious Understanding

October 27-28 - Save the Date!

On October 27-28, 2019 the Institute for Jewish-Christian Understanding at Muhlenberg College will host a two-day conference that will incorporate the College’s annual Wallenberg Tribute with the observance of 25 years since the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s “Declaration to the Jewish Community” repudiating Martin Luther’s anti-Jewish invective and expressing the church’s desire to “live our faith with love and respect for the Jewish people.” The conference will help to examine cultivation of agile leadership for the future in our multi-religious world.

Seeds Monthly – June Edition

“A 60-day journey toward justice in a culture of gun violence continues.” On June 16, the church began a 60-day journey of prayer, Scripture, stories and church teachings that invite the church to work together toward the prevention of gun violence. It’s not too late to join in the daily observances as we learn more about being people of God who strive for justice and peace. The resource can be used for individual reflection, group study and congregational devotions.
