2020 Camp Announcement

Dear NTLP Friends and Families,

For 27 years in a row, the National Teen Leadership Program has held at least one camp every summer. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the President of California State University, Sacramento has officially announced that the University will be cancelling all in-person summer events. With this news, NTLP no longer has a viable option to host camp and has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 leadership camp originally hosted on their campus. The safety of our teens, volunteer staff, and our community is of upmost importance. As leaders in creating positive environments that empower, inspire and educate all teens, we want to lead by example and keep our community safe. We hope to see everyone back in Sacramento in summer 2021!

As "Shelter in Place" continues, so do the possibilities for leadership training. NTLP is currently creating a plan to offer online virtual training for teens to help manage their feelings during this challenging and stressful time and to support the development of their leadership skills so they can better the community.

Here's a message from Ashleigh Cook, our Camp Program Manager and NTLP Alumna, about our upcoming online virtual training slated to start in May. Stay tuned for more details in the next few days. You may also contact Ashleigh at acook@ntlp.org with   questions or comments.
At this time of uncertainty, we appreciate your patience and understanding. We are all in this together. Thank you for your support now and always.
