Enjoy an evening of art, music and wine by exploring the local art galleries, listening to local and regional talent and enjoying cuisine from some of the area's best eateries. Many places in Downtown McKinney will keep their doors open from 7-10 p.m.

Below are some of the fun planned this Saturday evening:

LAST Art Gallery (shown), 105 West Louisiana: Open until 9 p.m. on Second Saturday, featuring 25 artists from the area.

Orisons Art & Framing, 110 E. Louisiana: Hosting a meet-the-artist reception for 3D wood artist Michael Bosch. Small bites and wine will be served. Also featuring the kick-off the the Empty Bowls Silent Auction and Raffle.

fILTER(ed), 218 East Louisiana: Live proudly presents 2nd Saturday Jazz: Live Jazz styles performed by local collegiate, professional and 
enthusiastic musicians in a comfortable and intimate setting. Come share in the northern expansion of this great and historic genre. 7-10 p.m. 
 
 
 
 
 
Collin McKinney - An Early Texas Exhibit (Now Open- Ongoing)
In conjunction with the official Collin McKinney 250th birthday celebration in April, the Collin County Historical Society & Museum is exhibiting artifacts of Collin McKinney's home and life.Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. through May 2016. Classic Meets Contemporary (Saturday) McKinney Guitar Studio presents an evening of acoustic music featuring Carlo Pezzimenti, John Wynn, and friends. This unique in-home concert presents this mix of music in an intimate, comfortable setting. Spring into Action Family Fun Festival (Saturday) Shake off the winter blues and bust out with spring at McKinney Parks and Recreation's newest family-centered event. The event features activities for the entire family including a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables, trackless train rides and more. Craig Ranch Soccer Complex, 6375 Collin McKinney Pkwy. FREE. 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
 
 
 
 
 
Second Saturday Bird Walk (Saturday) The Heard Museum and Prairie & Timbers Audubon Society (PTAS) offer guided bird walks on the Heard Sanctuary. Walks begin promptly at 8 a.m and last an hour and a half. If you come a few minutes late the group may have already started their walk so it is important to be on time. Walks are included in regular admission. These bird walks are intended to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and identification techniques, and include the prairie, woodland and wetland habitats.
