December 1, 2017
Become a Hanukkah dinner maven! On Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3PM, Jerry Kass will give a hands-on cooking class in the Temple kitchen. The menu will include brisket cooked in the traditional French technique, crispy potato latkes and other sides. Class is limited to 10 paid people ($15/person) so that all can participate and enjoy the results. Please RSVP to the Temple office with a check or credit card. This event is organized by the Nurturing our Community through Food group and the Programming Committee.

Your craving for delicious, fresh, homemade soup is over!  The Temple Beth Miriam Social Action Soup Sale is Sunday, December 10th from 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM in the Temple Lobby.  Come buy a quart of soup for $5.00 and, back by popular demand, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to buy a Temple Beth Miriam soup mug for $10.00!  All proceeds from the Soup Sale will be donated to the Food Pantry at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation in West Long Branch.  We hope to see you there!

(The Social Action Committee will be making the soup on Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 PM – please contact Gayle Topper at, if you’d like to join us!)

Hannukah Video Project

Attention Beth Miriam! I just came across a fabulous idea that I want to steal. If you make a video of you and or your family lighting the Hanukkah candles, I will make a Beth Miriam video for the Temple website and for the Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Make your video, one or two minutes, and I will edit and produce the video. Email your video to me at and I will take it from there.
