After a brief reference to the history of India, Fr. Soney Sebastian talks to four of the students who traveled to a boarding school near Vellore, India. Twelve from Connelly School , Anaheim, went, including students, alums, teachers and parents. They spent two days teaching the girls theater, dance, prayer, crafts and other activities to build confidence in themselves.

All four – Joanna Jugrez, Chloe Web, Rebecca Mary and Brigid Reilly agreed that they got more from the Indian girls than they gave. There were many cultural “shocks” and learning experiences. Most of all, it was a bonding experience for them ending with the Indian girls dancing the “Macarena” as the Connelly visitors left.

Don’t miss Connelly Connection Part 2 airing on on September 23, 2018.
