The Pairing Series "Hues and Blues"  John Bramblitt + Cast of Blues

The first exhibit in the Pairing Series, "Hues and Blues" pairs paintings by world renowned blind painter John Bramblitt with The Cast of Blues Exhibit from Midwest Arts Alliance featuring interactive touchable casts by sight impaired sculpturer Sharon McConnell-Dickerson.  9 a.m.-8 p.m.

All proceeds from the boutique go to help those trying to escape domestic violence here in Collin County. And don’t forget to bring the kids for the family fun! Food Truck Fridays at Trinity Falls
Food truck fare is on the menu at Trinity Falls, giving foodies a chance to fall in love with a variety of mobile eats from 5-8 p.m. The rolling restaurants will be parked at The Club, 7801 Trinity Falls Parkway, while a DJ, a bounce house for the kids, lawn games and other activities will add to the family fun. The food trucks attending this week will be Ruthie’s Rolling Café, Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream and Chicago’s Taste & More.

Story times are designed for young children with a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 minutes. 10:30 a.m.

Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden (Now Open)
Walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators in our Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden, which opens for its summer season on Saturday. This exhibit is open during regular operating hours.

Geology Workshops (Thursday-Friday)
The Heard will host two geology workshops this weekend. On Thursday, The "Rock and Mineral Evolution" New Geology Timeline session, suitable for docents, educators and naturalists, costs $50 to attend; cost includes rock and mineral kits. 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in Laughlin Hall. Then on Friday, "Texas Through Time: A Tale of Many Changes; North America Joins Pangea"  is a teacher workshop ($35 to attend), covering TEKS-based content enrichment. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Laughlin Hall.
