Stevens recently added a new edge finishing and polishing machine to our Solid Surface Department.  The Omega 100 is a CNC (computer numeric control) that can form our common edge patterns, including round, bevel, flat, bullnose and sharknose.  The machine uses water to collect dust and small debris, making it a popular addition for the team members working at and near it.  With its increased capacity and capabilities, we anticipate it will increase daily productivity and reduce some of the manual labor hours previously needed for solid surface tops.
Todd Wegman Named 2016 Wood Industry Market Leader

Stevens Industries is pleased to announce that Todd Wegman, company president has been named a 2016 Wood Industry Market Leader by Woodworking Network.  Each year, Woodworking Network honors those who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership, vision and dedication to promoting the wood industry.  These leaders have positively impacted their companies and communities in ways that set them apart.

Todd is quick to acknowledge that having a talented team has been a central factor in his success at the company and the industry.  Author Karen Koenig writes, "Teamwork: It’s what drives not only Stevens Industries President Todd Wegman, but is the very essence of the employee-owned, multi-million dollar panel laminator, commercial casework and millwork manufacturer, and private label manufacturer."  Todd espouses the belief that a leader should hire good people and then let them do their jobs.  He notes that the company employees 500 people and continues to grow.

Rounding out 2016's impressive list is a group of talented, driven leaders:  Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen Interiors; Paul Wellborn, Wellborn Cabinet; Sylvain Garneau, Groupe Lacasse; Brian Preston, Lamon Luther; Rick Thaler, OGB Architectural Millwork; Bob Lewis, Closet & Storage Concepts; and Jack Lansford Jr., Decore-ative Specialties.
