with Tony & Karen Ruivivar

With cancer of the liver, then remission, cancer of the throat and remission, and then cancer of the kidney, Tony Ruivivar tells his story of how faith has seen him through it all.

In this interview by Dr. Susan Stafford, Ph.D, Tony and his lovely wife, Karen, tell the 50 year history of their work in show business with the Society of Seven, known as the Last of the Great Show Bands. .Music is their life. No matter what comes along, they get up and move on and continue with the show.

Dr. Susan says that they inspire us because “they talk it, walk it, believe it, and own it.”  They started out in Hong Kong, appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and are still playing to sold out audiences around the world.  Cancer doesn’t stop them.
