Learn to use the AED
As you may know, the temple has a defibrillator which, thank God, we have never had to use. However, we are offering a free tutorial on how to use it should you ever find yourself in need of applying the life-saving electric shock to someone whose heart is in danger here at the temple. On September 26 at 7:30, right before the board meeting, Tim Knotts, one of our congregants and a certified EMT will demonstrate the AED. Everyone is welcome to learn how to use the machine. The demonstration will take about 20 minutes.

Selichot Program
Join the temple community as we prepare for the Days of Awe. Our first service is a service of preparation called Seilichot which means 'Forgiveness'. Selichot will take place on September 24 at 8:15 pm and we will begin with Havdallah, have an informal short service of reflection, continue with refreshments, a movie with the theme of change and growth and end with a discussion about some of the movie's themes. This is a very moving and beautiful ceremony enhanced by the music of Cantor Camhi, a creative service, fantastic and creative refreshments prepared by Stella Stanway, the feeling of community and the reflections of the Days of Awe. There is no charge, of course, and you are welcome to bring a friend. Please let us know you are coming by calling the temple at 732-222-3754.
