Dinosaurs Live! (Opens Saturday)
Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Museum’s nature trails at the 12th annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibit. The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly. Exhibit is included in museum general admission. Visit museum website for hours and rates. 1 Nature Drive.

Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times are designed for young children with a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 min. 10:30 a.m.

Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden (Now Open)
Walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators in our Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden, which opens for its summer season on Saturday. This exhibit is open during regular operating hours.
 
 
 
 
 
(Friday-Sunday)
The Cove welcomes two area artists this weekend. Don Simmons, a well known photographer in North Texas, will show new black and white prints from his continuing series “Road Trip”. Sam Rogers, a relative newcomer, works in a variety of media. He will show prints and paintings, representational and abstract. Friday, 7-9:30 p.m. with artists' talk at 8 p.m.; Saturday, 6-9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. At The Cove, 402 N. Tennessee.​​​​​​​
 
 
 
 
 
Saints & Sinners and Houses of the Holy
(Friday)
The Guitar Sanctuary presents "Sanctuary Live", a special showcase for local artists in the DFW area. This month's Sanctuary Live features two of the area's finest tribute bands, Saints and Sinners (shown) and Houses of the Holy. VIP Tables, $75 (seat 4); downstairs seating, $10; standing room only, $5. Bar and food service available. Saints and Sinners is the Dallas Area's premier Whitesnake Tribute Band, while Houses of the Holy pays tribute to the legacy of Led Zeppelin. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 8 p.m. At The Sanctuary Music & Events, 6633 Virginia Parkway in Adriatica.

Enjoy a real life dating show with a comedy twist! One lucky contestant will win a date with a comedian from the show but there’s a catch. He or she won’t be able to see the comedian, only listen to them tell jokes. $20 per ticket includes a souvenir pint glass, three beers, a mini brewery tour, and a live stand-up comedy show. ($25 at the door if there are tickets remaining.) Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets available online. Franconia Brewing, 495 McKinney Parkway.
 
 
 
 
 
The Secret Life of Pets (Saturday)
