The Collin County Historical Society and Museum is hosting an exhibit to honor the role that Collin County soldiers and Texas played in the Great War. Visitors will be provided an iPad to use to access maps, timelines, photographs, and videos about World War 1. 300 E. Virginia. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays.

MRT Presents The Sunshine Boys (Friday-Sunday)
Al and Willie as "Lewis and Clark," top-billed vaudevillians for over 40 years, aren't even speaking. When CBS requests them for a retrospective, the reunion brings them back together, along with a flood of memories. 8-10 p.m. General admission is $18.

Brave Interface Paintings by Anne Royer (Friday-Sunday)
View new artwork by local artist Anne Royer that features how several lines of inquiry thread through her work: music, artistic collaboration, new color palettes, longhorns in the Texas landscape, mythic birds, over 30 years of work in the design industry. Friday, 7-9 p.m. with artist talk at 8 p.m.; Saturday, 6-10 p.m.; Sunday, 3-5 p.m. Live music. The Cove, 402 N. Tennessee.

Nature Story Time (Friday)
Story times are designed primarily for young children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered. Included in general admission and free for Heard Museum Members. 10:30 a.m.

2nd Saturday Bird Walk (shown, Saturday)
If you've ever had an interest in birding but haven't known where to start, this is a great program for those who have been birding for a while and would like some pointers. Second Saturday Bird Walks are designed to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and ID techniques. FREE (included in admission fee, with no reservations), but please be in time. 8-9 a.m.
