While you're out training, make sure you go the extra distance! The Toyota Pittsburgh Kids Marathon course will measure closer to 1.1 miles this year.

Stretching is important. After you run, lift or play any sport, take the time to stretch to help prevent soreness. After working your muscles, they become tight or stiff so stretching can help to balance things out, promote recovery and keep you in the game longer. 

Adults… don’t forget if YOU need to work your way up to a mile for the Kids Marathon, click here for your plan. If you’re going to run the 5K during race weekend, follow the training plan on your child’s training log. You can find our training plans and training logs here
