Home for the Holidays Festival
Enjoy train rides, carolers, food, music and dance performances, "A Christmas Carol" performance at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, and food and craft vendors. See website for full schedule. A few of the highlights are:

Friday: City of McKinney Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:15 p.m. on Friday on MPAC Lawn on the Kentucky Street side. Followed by Emerald City Band in concert.

Saturday night: Concert by Le Freak, the World's Greatest Disco Band
Believe Run: This 1 mile, 5K and 10K race benefits the Holy Family School. Saturday at 7 a.m. at Mitchell Park. Awards and live music on the square following race.

A Christmas Carol: McKinney Repertory Theatre performs this holiday classic during Home for the Holidays.

Santa on the Square: Book your appointment now for your kids' visit and photos with Santa in his downtown square workshop Fridays-Sundays starting Nov. 24 through Dec. 17. Proceeds benefit Volunteer McKinney.

Letters to Santa: Kids can drop their Letters to Santa in the special vintage 1911 Post Office Exhibit at the Collin County History Museum (300 E. Virginia). 10 a.m .-4 p.m.

Dinosaurs Live! (Through Feb. 18) 
Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Museum’s nature trails at the 12th annual Dinosaurs Live! Photo op and play area dinosaurs available too. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly. Included with admission.
