Announcements for June 4, 2017

Guests are invited to meet our Senior Pastor, Rev Ron Lentine, and enjoy some coffee and other refreshments immediately following the service at the coffee station (located in the main entrance of the foyer).

You may drop off your Guest Information card which is attached to your bulletin and receive more information about our church at that time.

Special Guests Today . . .

Greg and Shelly Bruckert

(in both morning and evening worship services)

Greg and Shelly have served as missionaries  for nearly 28 years.

God has used them to successfully train many  seminary students in Southeast Asia as church planters.

(above information has been edited)

As a result of their work numerous house churches have been planted throughout the Island resulting in many people coming to know our Savior and Lord.

Greg and Shelly are longtime friends of our pastor.

They worked together in evangelism ministries in the mid-1970’s while attending college.

You will receive a blessing today as you hear their stories.

The June Caregiver Support Group meeting will be on Thursday, June 29th at 9:00 in the Fellowship Hall.

The speaker will be Dawn Shumaker Smith.  She is an Adult Protective Services Investigator Supervisor with the Department of Children and Families.

The title of the presentation will be “Honor Your Father and Your Mother.”

We will discuss the signs and symptoms of abuse, neglect, including self-neglect and exploitation we might see as we visit and minister to elderly and disabled persons in our neighborhoods.

Deacon Nomination Time Is Here.

We would like to ask our church family to give prayerful consideration to the following:

                1.  To pray for our deacon/yokefellow ministries here at Myrtle Grove Baptist.

                2.  To pray for individuals within our fellowship that God may be calling out to serve as a deacon/yokefellow this coming church calendar year.

If the Lord puts someone on your heart that meets the scriptural qualifications in I Timothy chapter 3, we will provide an opportunity in the next few weeks for you to submit that person’s name for consideration.

Discipleship University courses have been rescheduled to begin in August.  More information will be published at a later date.
