These Peppers are Perfection!
And in the "I couldn't have said it better myself" department, check out this great blog post that tells you what to do with old and wrinkly peppers! Our peppers have just been harvested so they are NOT old and wrinkly, but what you can do with them is just the same! Roasting, freezing, making soup, dehydrating, pickling and so much more!  Read on to learn...

It's Apple Season Again!
Carlson's Orchards of Harvard, MA supplies these fabulous apples for us every year.  Have you tried the new variety called ZESTAR? And the answer to the question about which apple is best for won't believe how delicious GINGERGOLDS are in home-made apple pie! I'm fine with pie, but I really prefer a dessert with more fruit, and less crust, so this recipe for apple crisp inspires me!

And have you tried Carlson's PEARS? They are simply delicious!
So, the winter squash is in, and so are the pears from Carlson's.
How does this Spiced Squash, Fennel and Pear Soup
from the Soup Addict sound to you?
 Sounds like dinner to me...
Time to Plant Bulbs that Bloom in Spring!

Packaged in cry-o-vac bags, they'll keep in the fridge for days, or throw them in the freezer so you can have the taste of Bartlett's Tomatoes through the winter!

Who's YOUR Farmer?

Jordany Desrosiers is from Petit Goave in Haiti and he is currently studying Agronomy and Forestry at American University of the Caribbean.
He came to Bartlett’s Farm on a recommendation of other Haitian interns to gain more experience in vegetable production. He has enjoyed his time here and likes who he works with and works for.
A special memory was the day he got to work with Phil Bartlett – He was honored to work with someone who had so much experience and was proud to be told by Phil that he did a good job at the end of day.
