![]() #GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. ![]() ![]() ![]() We at Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County are asking you to please support us on this day so that affordable housing can continue to be supplied to families in need. Two new Family Partners have been selected for Habitat Homes, but with the closure of both Habitat Clallam Stores, our funds are greatly affected. That is why we need YOU! YOU can make it possible for Alesha and her daughter to start building their home alongside Residential Construction Students from Peninsula College this summer. And YOU will be the hero to Kaeli and her 3 young children when their 2020 Thrivent Faith Build home is completed by the end of this year. Because of our participation in #GivingTuesdayNow, we are eligible to be a part of a Match Fund initiative where, the more donations we receive, the greater our opportunity to unlock the matching funds will be. Every donation, regardless of amount, will add up toward that match. ![]() Our neighbors and our communities have been hit hard by the economic shocks of COVID-19. As families face the public health crisis and the devastating effects of financial instability, Habitat for Humanity is needed now more than ever. And — now more than ever — we need you. Together, we can help families build back.
WE ♥ our Community Partners! ![]()

![]() Why do I need to fill out the 2020 Census? The count is mandated by the Constitution and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency. The 2020 Census counts the population in the United States and five U.S. territories. The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and your community. Every year, billions of dollars in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data. The results of the census also determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives, and they are used to draw congressional and state legislative districts. It's also in the Constitution: Article 1, Section 2, mandates that the country conduct a count of its population once every 10 years. The 2020 Census will mark the 24th time that the country has counted its population since 1790. |
