Annual Congregational Meeting

Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 16 at 9:30 for breakfast and the Annual Congregational Meeting.  The meeting will share with the congregation where Beth Miriam is at, what our plans are for the future, and will present the recommendations for the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee.  It is an important meeting and you are all urged to join us and vote for the motions presented.  We look forward to seeing you there.  No RSVP is needed.
 
 
 
 
 
Jewish War Veterans' Shabbat
Welcome as we honor those who served

Temple Beth Miriam invites you to join with members of the Jersey Shore Post 125, Jewish War Veterans of the USA to honor all military veterans at our Shabbat Veteran’s Day Service, Friday, November 9 at 7:30 pm.

An Oneg sponsored by the Post will follow services.  Post 125 traces its origins to 1935 and has served veterans, their families, and the Monmouth County community since that time. 
 
 
 
 
 
Join the Youth Choir for Hannukah!
Open to all students Grade 1-12

Join the TBM Youth Choir! All religious school students in grades 1-12 can sing with us! Rehearsals will be Sundays, November 18 after school and December 2 during school. We will be singing on Friday, December 7 for Shabbat during Chanukah. Email Cantor Marnie to sign up your child: cantor@bethmiriam.org.
 
 
 
 
 
Hannukah Gift Shop 

November 5th from 9-11 - Sisterhood will be packing up the Hannukah gifts for the religious school children and setting up the tables for the Gift Gallery. Please come and help for as long as you can.

The Hannukah Gift Shop sponsored by the TBM Sisterhood will be open on Sundays- November 18th, December 2nd & 9th from 9 a.m.-12:30p.m.

Come do your holiday shopping. Great gifts for family & friends! End of Hannukah Clearance Sale on December 9th!

Hannukah Luncheon and Dreidel Tournament
The Hannukah Luncheon and Dreidel Tournament will be from 12-2pm on December 2nd. Don’t miss one of the best events of the year! Cost is $5 per person. Please RSVP by November 26th!
 
 
 
 
 
19th Annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival
Guest speakers, films, scholars

The 19th annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival will run from Tuesday, October 30, through Sunday, November 11, 2018. The festival features a diverse array of dramatic and documentary films from Israel and around the world, and most screenings feature guest speakers, including filmmakers and scholars. The festival will be held at two locations: AMC Loews New Brunswick and the Princeton Garden Theatre. For The Sisterhood Clothing Drive

Where are the items going?

The sisterhood will be using a company that will pay us by the pound for everything we collect. Then the items will be sorted and distributed locally, nationally, and internationally to be sold at economical prices to help low income areas. In addition, nothing will ever be discarded, which keeps it out of landfills. All while cleaning out your closets! It’s a quadruple win!

What We Want

Your unwanted gently used, cleanand wearableclothing, pairs of shoes, purses, hats, belts, household linens, and small toys. Please bring items in white kitchen garbage bags, not the very large black garbage bags, so the bags are not too heavy.

What We DO NOT Want

Old, smelly (including cigarette smell), stained, moldy, damaged or wet clothing, items from storage units, large toys, furniture, books, DVDs, VHS, electronic items, appliances, or socks. PleaseDO NOT bring in such items because it will waste space in the transport vehicle. 

Where and Whencan you drop off your donations?

Dates: 10/28 – 11/2, and11/4.There will be No Drop Off on Saturday 11/3 because of a private event.

Where: Temple Beth Miriam, 180 S. Lincoln Ave, Long Branch, NJ.

Items should be brought to classroom 15 on the lower level.

Time: Sundays8:30am-Noon; MF-when the temple is open. Call 732222-3754 to verify hours.

If you feel you will need assistance carrying your items to the lower level, please bring them on one of the Sundaysand someone assist you. There will be no assistance during the week.
