Hello TTRA Members and Friends,

May the closeness of friends, the comfort of home, and the joy of the new, renew your spirits this festive season.

As a membership association, we are only as strong as you, our members. Thank you for your support and many contributions throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2020, our 50th year of operation.

The 2020 International Conference will be held June 16 to 18, 2020 at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Over the course of the conference, we will develop a 20/20 perfect vision of the future tourism research agenda – looking forward at major tourism research needs and looking back at 50 years of accomplishments in the promoting the use of research in travel marketing and planning. Our conference will look at the new models and paradigms for economics and tourism and the research needed to empower tourism decision-makers. Do not miss out on this opportunity to contribute to a global association and international conference that has been bringing together researchers from agencies, destinations, the industry, and academia since its inception in 1970.

The conference theme is 20/20 Vision: Looking Forward, Looking Back and will focus on taking stock of the notable achievements of the past and discussing the issues critical to the future of travel research.

Registration now open. Early Bird Pricing is in effect until February 15, 2020.  Register now and save.

The 2020 TTRA International Conference is a climate friendly event with Offsetters. We are committed to measuring and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions for staff and speakers’ travel to the event. By purchasing carbon offsets, we will prevent the equivalent amount of emissions from being emitted elsewhere—as the projects we will support wouldn’t have occurred without offset funding. We’re proud to take action against climate change as we bring you this event.

Thanks for helping us support this initiative. If you’d like to offset your travel to the event, please visit to calculate and offset your emissions
