HUD Recap Office Back in RAD Business—

The HUD Recap Office team reports being fully back at it—accepting and reviewing applications, issuing CHAPs, offering TA, guiding steps to closings and picking up on anticipated activities that were stalled by the shutdown—and glad for it. Don’t hesitate to get back in touch with your Recap team contacts.

Also, look for details shortly on a HUD webinar on maximizing the new FY2018 RAD rents with pending transactions and new applications.

Northwest Regional RAD+ Convening
Portland, OR & Vancouver, WA
February 27 - March 1

Get the latest insights on RAD practice, updates from HUD’s Recap Office and SAC directors about the forthcoming RAD notice revisions, strategize on applying the new RAD rents, discuss what’s ahead in 2019 for RAD—and more.

Along with our local hosts, the RAD Collaborative is undertaking its first Regional Convening of 2019 in Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA. Activities begin the afternoon of February 27 and wrap up the morning of March 1.

Our agenda includes a review of Oregon’s game-changing affordable housing resources, in-depth discussions with local housing authorities, HUD updates and the latest practice and policy insights, all with a focus on what’s become “RAD+”— an impressive array of mixed-income/mixed-use/preservation developments and cross-sector collaborations being undertaken along with RAD and Section 18 conversions of assistance.

Space will be limited, and registration is filling up. We have now also opened a limited block of rooms with discounted rates at the Doubletree Hilton Portland Hotel where most of the Convening activities will be held. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis for rooms and are likely to go fast.
