Greetings Beloved SWERVER,
Lotta change of late. I left for NYC to lead a Yoga Booty Ballet Teacher Training the day after the election, choosing to set aside my grief and devastation in order to lead a group to teach a transformational dance practice that would shift participants into becoming stronger, more self aware, intentional and empowered.
I had to discard the lower frequencies in order to uplift others. I turned my attention toward elevating the community, and in turn I became entrusted with their faith and willingness. The uncertainty challenged me to track back to what fuels me--my values.
Uncertainty makes us feel unstable and unsafe. The antidote to these is a tight container based on trust, respect and shared purpose. This trifecta describes SWERVE, an organization based on diversity and inclusivity. You might not be sure what each class will reveal at our beloved studio, but you can be certain that no one is excluded and that your individual fingerprint is crucial to accomplishing our diverse work.
Uncertainty shows up in the world of matter--the world we experience through the senses. Credence appears in the internal--the interior of the self--the peaceful, vast and spacious intuition.
One of my beloveds tells me that in times of uncertainty he drives himself to trust his gut. And it's hard to listen to your gut (the quiet constant influence) since the ego and the external world often interrupt with fear and worry--the twin drivers of the lower frequencies.
This is why we practice everything from working out to eating well, to meditating, to being in nature, to slowing down to gaze into another person's eyes. Practice develops gut intuition. Practice fortifies recognition of the authentic self. Practice cultivates inner certainty.
SWERVE is a place where you can find certainty in the expertise of the staff, guiding your workouts, influencing your good diet, teaching tried and true meditation techniques. The SWERVE staff is here to be of service to you, to include you and to welcome your uniqueness. We too, are here to express our own flavour and to join in community with you.
Come see us. Get stronger. Fortify yourself with care and then go deal with this beautiful uncertain, ever-changing world! Dance with us at our annual holiday party December 17th.
