Join Us for a Day Trip to the Tampa Museum of Art
Monday, February 4th

The Museum of Art – DeLand is planning a day trip to the Tampa Museum of Art on Monday, February 4, 2019. Tampa is hosting a special exhibition by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.

At 89, the avant-garde artist still exhibits at major art museums around the world, drawing huge crowds. She has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning and a documentary about her life, Kusama: Infinity was recently released.

Also on view
during our visit:

Robert Indiana sculpture retrospective

“The Classical World,” featuring Greek, Roman, Etruscan and Roman art & artifacts

“Oswaldo Vigas: Transformations.” Vigas was a Venezuelan modernist who is considered one of Latin Americas preeminent 20th century painters

We will travel by motor coach, pulling out of the Museum of Art - DeLand parking lot around 8:15 a.m..  We plan to leave Tampa around 2:30 p.m.

Cost is $50 pp under 65 / $43 for 65+ and includes transportation and museum admission.  Since this is a special exhibition, the Tampa Museum is not offering SERM and NARM reciprocity.

There are several good restaurants for lunch within walking distance and the Tampa Museum has a great café.
