For Early Intervention

Oregon AEI Advocacy Alert!

Want to advocate in support of EI/ECSE services, but don’t have time to come to the Capitol to meet with legislators? Join the Oregon Alliance for Early Intervention’s STATEWIDE PHOTO RALLY to show your support for EI/ECSE services! It’s simple and easy, and will only take a few minutes.

How to participate:

  • Parents! Have someone take a picture of you with your child holding up our photo rally sign. If you’re a provider of EI/ECSE services, pose with a child/children you serve holding our photo rally sign!

  • Share the picture with us in one of the following ways:

    • If you’re on social media:
      • Post it to Oregon AEI’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/OregonAEI , or tweet to us at https://twitter.com/Oregon_AEI.
        • Include 1-2 sentences in the comments about the positive impact EI/ECSE services have had in the life of your child experiencing disability or your family.
        • Use the hashtag #SupportEarlyIntervention
        • Make sure to include the city where you live in your comments so we can show the diversity of voices from across the state!

    • Email it to us at contact@oregonaei.org, and we will post it on social media for you. (Make sure to let us know where you live so we can include that information when we post it.)
Let’s make a strong show of support to show legislators the importance of these truly life-changing services! They need to hear from parents and providers so they don’t make further cuts to already underfunded programs that can’t provide the levels of service that children and families need.

Get those cameras ready! We can’t wait to see the photos you share…and THANK  YOU for your advocacy in support of EI/ECSE services!

The goals of the Oregon Association for Early Intervention are twofold: to increase public awareness about the critical need for early diagnosis and care for children with disabilities, and to advocate on behalf of early intervention.
