In God’s wildness lies the hope of the world.
– John Muir

Join us for worship this Sunday!
8:45 Contemporary
11:15 Traditional
Classes for all ages at 10 am
Pastor Clark says, "No matter where we live or what we have, we are all just tenants in God’s Kingdom. Nothing really belongs to us. Everything we have and love is really just on loan, just borrowed for a time. The Kingdom, for a time, is ours. But, you only get to keep what you freely give. No wonder wild grapes grow everywhere. Won’t you come and be in worship with us as we consider what to do with wild grapes? See you Sunday!"

Sunday's Message:  Rooted in Experience:“Wild Grapes”
Sunday's Scriptures: Isaiah 5:1-7 and  Matthew 21:33-46

At Brecksville United Methodist Church we are committed to our Sunday morning education hour and how it helps develop a community of believers.

Classes for Adults  Drop in anytime.

  • Ancestors of the New Testament.  Join Pastor Clark in room 301 as we look at our spiritual ancestors. You will be amazed to learn that they are a lot like you! Hear the stories of these men and women called by God to do amazing things, and see how they fit into the larger narrative of our faith story.
  • Digging into our Methodist Roots. As we make our way forward as faithful followers of Jesus, we would do well to revisit our roots.  Join Jenny Gee in the Chapel to explore the founder of Methodism, John Wesley’s, three simple rules for living the Christian life and five means of grace.

For the young ones: Our children, from birth through eighth grade, learn alongside loving, faithful adult teachers.  Together, we all become familiar with the stories and teachings of the Bible.  These gifted and talented adults encourage learning in a creative, supportive and age-appropriate environment, nurturing children’s growth in faith.  During the 10 o’clock education hour, kids join with children of similar ages.

Our youth gather under the leadership and guidance of our awesome youth director, Dana Schwendeman, who helps the kids see the relevance of the stories in scripture within their own life.  Kids also will take a look at some of the tough situations they find themselves in and explore how a person of faith can respond.  In addition to Sunday mornings, High School Youth group meets Sunday evenings, and Middle School Youth group meets on Tuesday afternoons.

Join Pastor Clark and friends as we explore the Gospel of Luke.  Luke was an educated and cultured man, the first real historian to write about Jesus. We know that what Jesus said, what he did and what happened to him has changed the course of history.  Pick up your book in the office or this Sunday!   Pastor Clark asks that we read the first two chapters so we can begin our discussion on Wednesday.

"Schaner shares from her heart a collection of deeply engaging essays that provide
not only food for thought during the pre-Christmas season,
but also inspiration and hope for the future. This book is ideal for personal reflection,
as well as a resource for prayer and discussion groups.
I recommend it to anyone who anticipates that Christmas will be 'different' this year."
