HFF STAFF AND INTERNS CONTINUE CRUCIAL PROGRAMMATIC WORK

The global pandemic has disrupted daily life, but with added safety precautions and existing infrastructure, technology, and capacity, HFF is operating at full tilt, with a whole suite of work continuing to benefit conservation on the Henry’s Fork and South Fork. On the Henry’s Fork, field work continues with added safety measures, from ADCP flow measurements, water quality samples and monitoring, riparian fence monitoring and maintenance, and fish passage monitoring. Plus, virtual interns assist with a great deal of crucial work, from monitoring and cataloguing the status of long-term conservation projects to data analysis in support of PhD research on both the upper and lower Henry’s Fork. Programs to conserve water and keep water in Island Park Reservoir continue, including precision water management efforts and the Upper Snake River Collaborative Farms and Fish Program. On the South Fork, the real-time water quality monitoring network continues to expand, soon covering the upper, canyon, and lower reaches of the South Fork, plus the South Fork Social Science Intern is helping to design and implement a South Fork angler survey.

To support conservation efforts on the South Fork, please join us for the virtual South Fork Gala this Friday, June 10th from 7:00 - 8:00 PM MST. Register here.

Also, join us for the South Fork Gala After Party that same evening, beginning at 8:00 PM MST, using the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84262160609.
