Bass Bugs and Brews Movie Night
Friday | 5:30-9:30 p.m. |  Open to Public | $15-20 Admission
This year’s Texas Fly Fishing & Brew Festival kicks off again at TUPPS. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door (if available). This event is sponsored by Fly Tyer in coordination with the TFFBF, and Tupps Brewery. The first 175 attendees will receive a free issue of Fly Tyer. Food trucks will be on hand, and enjoy other activities and free raffles. A portion of proceeds go to the Project Healing Waters programs in Texas. Film begins at 7:30 p.m.

Smokey Bear's Birthday

Enjoy a fun-filled day of education and celebration in honor of Smokey the Bear's Birthday and the amazing monarch butterfly migration. The event is free. Wondering what to wear? Dress in your "Butterfly or Bear Best." No butterfly or bear outfit? No problem - wear orange! The Texas A&M Forest Service and Collin County Farm Bureau will provide birthday cupcakes and hot dogs. Play games and do arts and crafts projects for kids as well as a photo station and story time. Eric Gales Live at the Sanctuary

The Guitar Sanctuary presents the return of Eric Gales to The Sanctuary Music & Events Center with special guests the Maylee Thomas Band. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. VIP tables (seating for 4) on the main floor, $200; downstairs reserved seats (first first served), $25; and general admission (standing room only, upstairs balcony, $15. Tickets available online, plus bar and food for purchase.

Masters of Hawaiian Music Concert

This concert features three renowned masters of Hawaiian Slack-Key guitar - George Kahumoku Jr, Nathan Aweau, and Kawika Kahiapo - and Hula dancing. VIP Tables (seating for four), $200; downstairs, $35; or balcony, $25 each. The optional Hawaiian Buffet Dinner ($20 per person) will feature a selection of traditional favorites from L&L Hawaiian BBQ. Cash bar available. Get tickets online.

Explore an exhibition that features 13 endangered and threatened birds native to Texas as interpreted by 14 local, award-winning artists. Guests will also learn more about what action is being taken to save our avian neighbors.

YAG Presents: Antony & Cleopatra

Antony is torn between his sense of duty to his political responsibilities and his fiercely passionate romance with a powerful Queen of Egypt. Admission is $8, students 6-22; $6, YAG members; and $12, adults. Thursday-Saturday, 7:30-10 p.m., with 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

"Resilience: Strength, Healing & Overcoming Adversity" Exhibit

One of the best kept secrets around is the progressive new VALA GALLERY, housed within the ever-evolving Cotton Mill of McKinney that is curated by The Visual Arts League of Allen. Stop by in March for the RESILIENCE Art Exhibit featuring art that explores strength, healing and overcoming adversity. The show will run March 7-31. Free.
