Environmental

Bad Bugs!

If you haven't heard of the Emerald Ash Borer or Spotted Lanternfly by now, you must be living under a rock. Both insects have made Upper Merion their homes, and homeowners and property owners need to be aware of what to do if you spot them on your property. Learn more:

Environmental Advisory Council Tip of the Week: Reduce Food Waste

About 94% of the food we throw away ends up in landfills or combustion facilities. In 2015, Americans disposed 37.6 million tons of food waste. We can help lower this number by taking steps toward managing food sustainably and reducing waste. Doing so saves money, provides a bridge in our communities for those who do not have enough to eat, and conserves resources for future generations. Read some tips on how to reduce food waste. Read other environmental tips provided by the EAC.
