Alyssa Alberts:
By trial and error

Waves and currents are an important part of her story, considering her family totally uprooted themselves twice to move to Hawaii, each time selling practically everything they owned before criss-crossing the Pacific. But Alyssa is not one to flounder, and a large measure of hard work and a teaspoonful of serendipity have help build a career of purpose and a life firmly rooted.

Tiny, tinier...tiniest?
Shopping the Beaverton ReStore  recently you might have bumped into Sydney loading up her new purchase: a door for her latest tiny home. It's Sydney's second tiny home build. The first was 300 square feet, but this new one...only 125 square feet! How does she downsize her belongings to fit? If you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it...and your emotional attachments, she suggests. Definitely the emotional attachments! We were delighted to hear about Sydney's project, and she was delighted to learn her door was an extra 25% off! (Love those price tag specials!)

Regularly 'ReStoring'

Well, it's not the first time Everett has been spotted at the Portland ReStore. He's a regular, and he regularly bumps into family and friends shopping ReStore finds. This time Everett picked up some carpet pad and molding for his mobile home remodel. A few days before, he overhauled the kitchen using cabinets purchased at the ReStore. Once outside, he bumped into two buddy DIYers and did a little catch-up. The ReStore's a great place to connect & share maker ideas.
