The Business of Art Scholarship Winner

The Studio Door and Mission Federal ArtWalk together with San Diego Visual Arts Network are pleased to announce the winner of "The Business of Art" scholarship for the 33rd Annual Mission Federal ArtWalk. This year, we received more applications than ever before.

The winner is Mikaela McLeish, a large-scale oil painter. She combines realism with expressionistic brushstrokes that often distort the human figure. She is fascinated by the sensation of the figure constantly shifting between presence and absence, isolation and connection, individual and society, reality and dream. Her pieces invite the viewer along on her personal inner journey.

Congratulations Mikaela!  Visit with her in Tent # 721
at Mission Federal ArtWalk.
