Summer House to "Home"

This client had a love for the Manomet area having grown up beach side for many years. They had since moved away and three years ago rented a house near Manomet Beach and knew it was exactly the type of home they had hoped to buy someday. When the home came on the market and the timing was right they decided not to let it go.

The home,  built in 1922 was loaded with charm but needed updating, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. The family also needed more space in the home overall.

The resulting design added a full length addition off the rear of the home to include an expanded kitchen, full bathroom, side entry, screen porch and outdoor covered patio.

The scope of the project soon expanded to other parts of the Home as the client explains; "At our first meeting with Eric, his excitement inspired us.  As he got to know us, he intuitively offered us suggestions that we did not consider, but were just what we wanted."

We worked closely with the client to get them all of the items on their wish list while still maintaining the charm and integrity of the home.

The client had this to say about working with us:

"This is the fifth time we have built or renovated a house and it was our best experience.   We could not be happier with Thorson Restoration and the work they did.  Eric and his team exceeded our expectations.  We trusted them to deliver, as we were 1,000 miles away during the project, and they did it in spades. We are looking forward to our garage project with Thorson Restoration."
