Rhythms of Pen and Brush (Thursday) This production featuring Richard Blanco (pictured) was established to help foster collaboration between art forms and artists and provide an opportunity to share their work with audiences. In addition to Mr. Blanco, the evening will also feature work by visual artists, jazz musicians from the University of North Texas, poets and actors. (Mr. Blanco is the fifth poet ever to present at a president’s inauguration, following in the steps of previous poets Maya Angelou and Robert Frost.) 7:30-9 p.m. in the Courtroom Theater. General admission, $17; students/seniors, $12.

Belles: The Reunion (Friday-Saturday)
Mark Dunn's new comedy "Belles: The Reunion" is a sequel to "Belles," a comedy in two acts and 45 phone calls. Sure to be an audience favorite. Mark Dunn personally selected McKinney Repertory Theatre to premiere his show. Friday-Saturday, 8 p.m., and matinee Saturday, 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $17 general admission; discounts for seniors 55+ and students 13+.
 
 
 
 
Third Monday Trade Days 
(Friday-Sunday) Enjoy the fall weather at Third Monday Trade Days this weekend and get a head start on your holiday shopping. The 450 vendors are offering seasonal home and yard décor, great gift ideas and lots of bargains you can’t find anywhere else. Learn to create unique designs using the Silhouette. Artist and Senior Instructor Sharon Gillespie will teach you how! *Prerequisite: Students must purchase from Craftcast: Deciphering the Silhouette with Cindy Pope AND watch prior to first class day. First of two classes; second class on Friday, Oct. 30. Class fee of $100 covers both classes. 1- 4 p.m.

This popular annual Fall celebration runs through Oct. 31 at the Tucker Hill Community, 211 State Blvd. McKinney Christian Academy will once again be the non-profit partner and benefactor from pumkpin sales and other proceeds generated by the event. All Pumpkinville activities are open to the public and most activities are sponsored and funded by Southern Land Company, including toddler-sized hay maze, tractor-pulled hay ride, activities and music, petting zoo, Spoons Food Truck, bake sale or concession stand (purchase required), pumpkin painting and carving, and workshops on using pumpkins in fall decorating.
